About WarnIM

WarnIM is a web-based application that allows instant communications between any number of agencies and organizations during severe weather or other emergencies.  WarnIM is currently being used by National Weather Service offices, Certified Weather Spotters, Arkansas Dept of Health, 911 call centers and OES offices, first responders and hospital officials.

WarnIM may be monitored by media outlets, and the information displayed there may be used by those outlets to promote public safety.

The system features:

• Live chat between all logged-in agencies and organizations
• Current radar images provided by the National Weather Service
• List and map of all participants in real-time
• Instant notifications of new weather warnings
• Historical recording of data that can be compiled into transcripts for official use after the event

WarnIM was created with the sole intent of enhancing readiness and response to emergencies.  In that goal, we can proudly say it has been a success.
